Dining Room - Sandywood Cottage

This was a favorite project of mine. I wanted to keep elements that already existed and still add warmth and charm to the space. To start out, we visually separated the dining room from the kitchen by adding some chair rail. We two-toned the walls to give it some dimension. The windows were then encased with a simple trim to set them apart from the mundane of the walls. Curtains were added to frame the windows and make the space whimsical. Originally, the table only came with four chairs. To add additional space, I found some old chairs on Facebook Marketplace for $20 and reupholstered them with some gorgeous striped upholstery from Ballard Designs.
